The following are ministries of The
Church Of The Living God, affectionately
known as "The Love Corner", where
members are encouraged to be actively
involved in the work of God as the Holy
Spirit leads. Training is provided for all
areas of ministry. Please contact the
church office to discover how you can
become involved.
Board of Deacons - concentrates on providing the necessary
provisions for the members of the church.
Mission Department - provides physical and spiritual services to those
who are sick and disabled.
Outreach Ministries - provides opportunities to serve the community.
Board of Trustees - concentrates on maintenance, purchase, and sale
of property of the church.
Music Ministries - a variety of choirs and musical opportunities are
offered to those interested in praising God through song, dance, rap,
instruments, etc.
Ushers Department - warmly assists the congregation with seating and
the deacons with collecting tithes, offerings, gifts, along with distributing
visitor's packages.
Hospitality Department - warmly welcomes all parishioners attending
the worship services and church events.
Pastor's Aide and Nurses Department - provides special care for
Bishop and Evangelist Gwin.
Transportation Department - Provides transportation to and from the
church for attendees in Champaign, Urbana, and vicinity.
Audio/Video Ministries - records and provides copies of each worship
service audio cassette, CD,VHS, and DVD.
Young Adult Ministries - presents opportunities for young adults to
cultivate their relationships with God, while serving the church and
sharing their gifts.
Youth Ministries - provides young members with opportunities to learn
about God and offers an avenue for the development of their gifts and
talents.
Nursery Department - provides a special place for "little ones" (6
weeks to 4 years of age) where they are taught and cared for while
parents and guardians enjoy the service.
Health and Wellness Ministry - supplies current health related
information and activity designed to enhance your physical well-being.
Financial Fitness Ministry -- presents financial information and
guidance to aid participants in achieving financial security.
Education Committee - plans and assists the youth and young adults
of the ministry with their educational needs.
Seniors Ministry - coordinates activities and assists with special needs
of the senior citizens of the ministry.
Twelve Tribes Ministry - welcomes, maintains, and tracks new and
existing members by promoting spiritual growth, fellowship and strong
active membership.
Men's Fellowship and Women's Fellowship - provides an
opportunity for men and women to share separately and discuss issues
that will aid their spiritual and practical growth, followed by a time of food,
fun, and fellowship for all.
Ministerial Council - focuses on
understanding and proclaiming the Holy
Scriptures, providing spiritual care for
the members, and praying for the well
being of the church, with special
emphasis on Bishop & Evangelist Gwin
and the vision for the church.
