Founded in July 1946, The Church Of The Living God affectionately known as The Love Corner has been a steadfast presence in the Champaign-Urbana community for over seventy-eight years. Rooted in the heart of the North End, our church has long served the spiritual and practical needs of our neighbors and extended community. Over the decades, we’ve been blessed not only to grow in number but also in discipleship, deepening our commitment to living out God’s Word. the church creed

We believe in God the Father, Christ the Son and the Holy Ghost. We believe Christ is the Son of God, was conceived by the Holy Ghost, born of the virgin Mary. He preached three years, was sentenced by Pontius Pilate without condemnation, crucified on Calvary, and He arose from the dead on the third day, triumphing over death and hell. He was seen of the eleven disciples and then by more than five hundred. He ascended into heaven and now sits on the right hand of God, and He will descend again at the last day to judge the world. We believe in keeping the whole law of Christ, that we may present our bodies holy and acceptable unto the Lord. We believe in the church of the living God, the pillar and ground of the truth. We believe in attending our church and holding it above our highest joy. Keep us steadfast in the faith, so let it be, Amen! Amen! Amen!

Mission Statement

To seek and to save those that are lost, and to train those that are saved to seek and to save others that are lost.
We accomplish this mission as we :

• Invite people to experience The Love Corner
• Offer a life changing relationship with Jesus  Christ
• Provide a genuine environment of Christian love
• Promote intentional faith development
• Prepare the people of God for service to those in the church, in the community, and throughout the world

Vision

The Church Of The Living  God, known as The Love Corner, has been planted in the Champaign/Urbana area as a beacon of light, empowered by the Holy Spirit, to impart the love of Jesus Christ.

We are mandated by God to do good to everyone we encounter, but especially those who have put their trust in Jesus Christ
(Galatians 6:10). We prayerfully work to spiritually, physically, and economically enhance the lives of the people that God has entrusted to our care (3 John 1:2).

We are called to specifically serve the youth. We are to help them understand the spiritual complexities of the the times, as we teach them to know, love and follow Jesus Christ (Psalm 34:11). Under the guidance of the Holy Spirit we are to prepare our youth to be righteous leaders in the earth. Furthermore, we are responsible for providing our youth with safe, stimulating and satisfying alternatives to sinful offers of the world.
